Gomoa East Zongo Community and Dr. Emmanuel Appoh Mensah Bid Farewell to Esteemed Nana Malam Dagoba Chief

The Gomoa East Zongo community is in mourning following the passing of the highly respected Nana Malam Dagoba Chief of the Dagoba tribe. The late chief, revered for his wisdom, leadership, and unwavering dedication to the development of the Dagoba people and the wider Zongo community, leaves behind a lasting legacy of service and unity.

In a solemn show of solidarity, Dr. Emmanuel Appoh Mensah, accompanied by His Royal Majesty Nana Saliki Abdul Isaka Giwa, Head of the Gomoa East Zongo Chiefs, as well as other tribal chiefs, chief imams, Muslim clerics, and community stakeholders, paid a heartfelt tribute to the late chief and extended condolences to the bereaved family.

During the condolence visit, Dr. Appoh Mensah presented drinks and a cash token to the family as a symbol of empathy and support during this period of grief. He commended the late chief’s dedication to peace and community cohesion, highlighting his impact in promoting harmony among diverse tribes in the Gomoa East Zongo enclave.

"The passing of Nana Malam Dagoba Chief is a great loss not just to the Dagoba people, but to the entire Zongo community and Gomoa East as a whole," Dr. Mensah stated. "His wise counsel, generosity, and leadership will be deeply missed."

The late chief is remembered as a unifying figure who championed the welfare of his people and promoted inter-communal dialogue and cultural preservation. His leadership style, grounded in humility and service, earned him admiration and respect from both traditional and religious leaders.

As funeral preparations commence, tributes continue to pour in from community members, religious leaders, and political figures who knew the late chief personally or were touched by his work.
